Play That Funky Music! ATL Fitness Club 's Top 10 Workout Songs for May 2013

If you're like many of us at ATL Fitness Club ... it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a productive workout unless you have good music blaring through your Beats headphones (or ear buds for jams on your cell phone).

So the jury's out for May 2013... and we've found a list of the Top 10 Workout Songs (thanks to our friends at Run Hundred). 

Here are some suggestions (based on the Top 10 list) if you're looking for new tunes to jam to in the gym or during your cardio training outdoors:

1) Arcadia by Ash

2) Alive by Krewella

3) Done by The Band Perry

4) Get Lucky by Daft Punk & Pharrell

5) Beautiful by Alex Gaudino & Mario

6) As Your Friend by Afrojack & Chris Brown

7) Pom Poms by the Jonas Brothers

8) Here's to Never Growing Up by Avril Lavigne

9) Still Into You by Paramore

10) Tonight I'm Getting Over You by Carly Rae Jepsen

Okay we'll admit it. None of the songs in this Top 10 list are currently on anyone's workout mix at ATL Fitness Club ... but as the saying goes, "to each his (or her) own!"

Honestly, we actually have these types of artists on our playlists:

-- Roy Jones Jr.

-- Tupac

-- Notorious B.I.G.

-- Justin Timberlake

-- Britney Spears (don't judge.)

But hey, do whatever it takes to ensure you have the most productive workout possible...whether it's listening to audio books, a specific station on Pandora, or even the latest  "Now That's What I Call Music!" album (there are like, hundreds of those).

No matter which genre of exercise melodies you prefer, stick to what inspires you to ultimately
" Achieve The Look ."

  2. Hey I my friends I tell you something can you give me answer please. As you climb above sea level, atmospheric (barometric) pressure drops with a parallel decrease in the amount of oxygen available at the blood/air interface in the lung alveolus. Hypoxia (a low blood oxygen level) results and limits the maximum amount of oxygen that can be delivered to the muscle cels to support aerobic physical work. Although the heart rate (and cardiac output) increase to deliver more blood (with less oxygen per ml) to the muscle cell, complete compensation does not occur and the maximal aerobic ability (VO2 max.) is reduced by approximately 1% for every 100 meters (~ 300 feet) above 4500 feet. This change can be measured in the performance of highly trained athletes at altitudes as low as 1500 feet above sea level.
