ATL Fitness Club 's 3 Reasons Why Sticking to Your Resolution Can Be a Piece of Cake (Figuratively, That is)!

The start of a new year usually means the start of new habits (or the end of old ones). But sometimes (and many of us are guilty of this) setting a New Year's resolution (like losing weight or joining a gym) can seem like a bit of a far-fetched fantasy.

That's why ATL Fitness Club wants to help you stick to your goals in 2013... and every year after that!
Here are 3 good reasons why sticking to your resolution(s) can be a piece of cake (without all the calories)!

1) It only takes 30 days to establish a new habit. Whether your ultimate goal is to lose weight , put on some size , or just learn to eat cleaner and train meaner... your new routine can easily become a permanent lifestyle change over time. Experts say it takes just 30 days to establish a new habit. This means that if you just stick to your guns about going to the gym , eating more healthful foods , or stepping up your training regimen for just one month, you will be one step closer to Achieving The Look you desire. Think of each month as just another stepping stone toward your final destination: FITNESS. As each month passes, you will unknowingly be creating the habit of healthier living. 30 days of hitting the gym, combined with another 30 days of improving your diet, in conjunction with another 30 days of  stepping up your weight training ... equals a quarter of your year filled with small goals but big results!

2) A healthy lifestyle can be contagious. Our ATL Fitness Club team has had the wonderful privilege of writing workout routines, making supplement suggestions, and sharing nutritious recipes & meal ideas with others nationwide. What we've discovered over time is that the more we knowledge we share, the more interest we generate among fitness gurus who desire to Achieve The Look . What a gratifying feeling it is to be able to share your passion with others, right? So why not inspire those around you as well? When people see that you are diligent about your gym routine , and consistent about your eating habits, they will start to ask how they too can live that healthy lifestyle. Whether it's passing along a recipe that you love or showing someone at the gym one of your favorite weight exercises, you can be the one to motivate others around you. You know that saying, "birds of a feather flock together?" Well it's true in this case. By enlightening people to improve their health and fitness, you will also be building a flock of fitness freaks around you who will continually inspire each other each and every day!

3) Getting or staying in shape is much cheaper than the consequences associated with being sedentary. We just watched the documentary Hungry for Change on Netflix, and retained this startling statistic: 68% of Americans are now overweight or obese. Are you kidding?! That means almost 7 out of every 10 people has a weight problem. Carrying those excess pounds has far worse consequences than just not being able to squeeze into your favorite jeans or hating your reflection in the mirror... Being overweight or obese also sets the stage for people to develop a laundry list of medical conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, or cardiovascular problems. Correct us if we're wrong, but we feel as though spending money on gym memberships, personal trainers, and fresh groceries is MUCH CHEAPER in the long run than office visits to the doctor, paying for prescription medications, and buying bigger clothes to hide your love handles. So why not make the wiser investment in 2013... by sticking to your workout plans and improving your diet? We say it's a "no-brainer!"

In a nutshell-- People make New Year's resolutions all time time, but not many people actually stick to them. But if you can make the commitment to rewarding yourself in 2013 with more exercise and wiser food decisions, you won't have just established new habits... you will have created an ideal lifestyle. So what are you waiting for? Begin your 30 days of starting a new habit that's good for you TODAY.

Here's to Achieving the Look in 2013!
